Great giveaway! Something that I try to do to give my morning a great start is give my kids and husband a GREAT big hug!

I have seen these in the store, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I always try to start my day of right by thinking of the fun things that I am going to do with my kids that day.

As the last yummy, soggy, honey-y spoonful of this cereal goes in my mouth, I write. Three things that I start my day off with is 1. coffee, 2. blogging, and 3.lots of floor time with my babies.

Thanks for the opportunity to win. Have great day gourmet mom on the go ;)

Congrats on the new web address! How much fun to feel official (even though we all thought you were "official" before! :)).

The thing I do to start my day off right is begin it ahead of time: I lay out clothes for my daughter (and, if I'm really being good, myself) the night before.

Great contest...my daughter loves Kix, and I love that it doesn't have red dye in it, which she's allergic to.

I haven't seen these yet. I usually eat boiled eggs for breakfast and then do wii fit.

For me, getting up is the key to a good morning...not the easiest thing for a non-morning person. :)
Honey Kix looks like a good incentive though!

tFamily said...

Taking a shower BEFORE my kids wake up is what gets my morning off to a great start. If it doesn't happen like that...we adjust and make due :) Some good positive music never hurts either!

Amanda said...

I kiss my husband to get off to a great start! Better than (almost) any breakfast!

Candace said...

Every single morning I kiss hubby goodbye, we have a good tight hug and we say "I love you and be careful" to each other as we walk out the door.

My good morning kickstart is coffee. Black Coffee. I can't even turn on the computer or wake up the kids until I've had at least two cups.

My kids like it when I make them "spinach fruit shakes"! I know it sounds gross but, they are good. I sound like a health nut, we are anything but that....;)

I try to lay out whatever we are having for breakfast the night before. Like pans, recipes, etc. Since I'm not a morning person I have found this works well to know exactly what we are having for breakfast already.

Thanks for giving the nutrition facts on the cereal. I haven't tried but never too sure about the sugar content and things.

Staci said...

Coffee is the only way for me to start my morning off. As for the little one, pancakes, yogurt, and a cartoon works well to start the day.

First, I don't think I've ever seen so many comments for one entry. You have quite a following.

I came across your blog by putting in Mom on the Go. I wanted to see if my own blog would come up...but I found you. I'm also LDS, and have dabbled with a little food blog on the side of my other blog. I'm glad that I found yours...since being a mom on the go I always need ideas with two hungry boys.

One of my sons LOVES KIX but I haven't seen the new Honey Kix, I'll have to look for them on my next shopping trip.

As for your give away,

I always start my morning by enjoying breakfast with my two boys. Are days often don't allow for a family meal together at night so I try to make sure that I give them time in the morning before they get a kiss on the way out the door.

I look forward to reading your blog in the future.

I wish my mornings started out with a workout, but they really start out with lots of cuddling with my little girls. No better way to start off the day with a little love!

Margaret said...

I wouldn't go to work if they didn't have free hot chocolate. That's the only way I can be productive. But Saturdays, it's cereal ALL THE WAY.

Nanny Goats In Panties said...

Now wait just a cotton pickin' minute. Are you saying that Honey Kix has 16 grams of fiber? Or is 16 grams of whole grain turn out to be less grams of fiber than that? I mean, I'm looking for great tasting fiber sources for me and the hubby!

Thanks for swinging by my blog the other day when I was the FB on SITS. And how can you (at under 35) have POSSIBLY heard of Van Johnson???? How cool are you?

One way I get my morning off on the right foot is to eat breakfast with the kids. This way, we talk about what is happening that day and then I'm not cranky because I didn't eat. (and getting the baby to smile is a another good one, too!)

I haven't tried Honey Kix yet, but it sounds like it would be really great.
